The work started with an assessment of hardware, software, and security. Leeward needed device integration, clearer communication, and a system that would still make sense a few years out — and a company more responsive than the one they were leaving.
Limitations
- The previous vendor’s Crestron-centered approach was not what they wanted to live with.
- They needed a Microsoft Teams-certified room and a partner who answers.
The Solution
A Q-SYS system designed to expand, certified for Microsoft Teams, with one-touch join and BYOD. The room includes a PTZ camera, dual displays, an overhead microphone array, table inputs, and a touch panel. It is segmented from the LAN so conferencing does not sit on the same trust boundary as the rest of the network, and it can be monitored remotely.
